I just had the furniture for my show picked up by the logistics company… now it’s all starting to feel very real. Not long to go…. eeek!
See you in London
August 29th, 2009Posters spotted
August 28th, 2009I’ve already spotted some of my posters up around town, which got me very excited. I was standing outside Ernst Reuter Platz U-Bahn station on the phone, when I suddenly turned around to be presented with my own work…. Here’s some of my own photo’s below, as well as the link to the Create Berlin flicker album, where you can see some of the other entries.

Posters go up!
August 24th, 2009Today the Create Berlin Posters went up around town. I can’t wait to get out and spot them later in the week. Here is the motif of my Beton coffee table which I have on my poster.

Magazine coverage
August 11th, 2009I have been asked by ICON and onoffice magazine to feature my Klara couch in their October issue. Out on the 13th September.
Another cool shop sign
August 6th, 2009Whilst out on the Friedrichstraße (one of the main shopping roads in Berlin) today I just had to take a photo of the Lafayette sign. This carpet of green vegetation took me aback. I was wondering if a family of birds might have taken up residence… but in any case it made me smile and a welcome change to all the other horrible plastic signs that you see normally.

Evening photo shoot
August 2nd, 2009We had a long night last night, taking photo’s of the new furniture in various location around Berlin. Thankfully we had a few friends who came along to help carry things, for which I am very grateful.
So a big thank you all for your help and support…
the fabulous Photographer Philipp Ruh

as well as, Philip, Sigrid, Dieter, Tine, Katti, Huebi, Manuel, Rike, Alex, Geppsel, Eddie, Sem and Roland.
We finished up at 3 in the morning… tiring, but well worth it. What do you think?

Chosen for the CODE competition
August 1st, 2009I’ve just found out that my poster entry for the Create Berlin ‘CODE’ competition has been chosen as one of the ones which will be hung around Berlin from the 24th September – 6th September.
Scouting for photo shoot locations
July 24th, 2009Whilst out scouting for locations for the up coming photo shoot of my furniture collection we couldn’t help but stop off at the best burger place in town, the Burgermeister.
You’ll find it under the Schlesisches Tor U-Bahn station (U1)

One year in Berlin!
July 19th, 2009Took a walk along the Spree today (river that runs through Berlin) and spotted this building as we stopped at a Bier Garten. It’s a building shared by both the police and fire brigade. The facade perfectly symbolises both the independant and the integrated work of the fire and police services with the use of green and red tiles. They have thier own respective halves to work in, but then the tiles merge and combine to reflect the combined work which they also do. Brilliant idea…

RARA Party
July 3rd, 2009I had a couple of meetings this week in London and took that chance to go along to the opening of RARA. This is a flexible project work space for people to use when they need somewhere to go to work. I personally like to get out of the house and be in an environment where I have people around me when I work so think the idea is super…. Congratulates. So, if anyone needs a space to work then I can highly recommend…
